Some of us can be great authors of wrongdoings. Some of us can do wrong for so long until we think it is right. If someone comes up to us and expose our wrongdoing, we are bold enough to come up with some kind of excuse to make our wrongdoing our right. We try to defend our wrongdoing so others can continue to uphold it. Or we want to get upset when our wrongdoing is exposed. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but WHEN YOU WRONG, YOU ARE WRONG! There is no need in trying to sugarcoat anything or explain anything with more lies. WHEN YOU ARE WRONG, YOU ARE WRONG! From my own experience, doing wrong seems to always bring pleasure of some sort. Many of us get content in our wrongdoing. We think no one sees us or hears us. We think we can continue to get away with doing wrong for the rest of our lives. Yes, I know that sounds insane but it is true. We honestly think that we can get away with doing wrong. But how quickly we forget that God sees everything and He knows everything. Just as what you do in the dark comes to light, just as you do wrong, that wrong will come to the light! And when you do wrong to others, that wrong has its way of coming back around to you. Colossians 3:25 (NIV) reminds us that, “Anyone who does wrong will be repaid for their wrongs, and there is no favoritism.” If someone does you wrong, of course you want to react and lash out at them. You want to tell them how they hurt you and about the pain you feel deep inside. I hate to be the bearer of bad news once again, but many of the people who do wrong to others could honestly care less. And trying to figure out why they are like this will cause you to become confused and frustrated. When you confront them, they will speak in such a manner that it has your own words coming out twisted. This is why it is best to take your hands out of it and give both your pain and the person who did you wrong to God. If you have been hurt, lashing out will only make you feel even more hurt. Draw closer to God and He will give you the comfort you need to make it through. The people who indulge in doing wrong know they are wrong but they convince themselves somehow that they will never get caught or exposed. “For there in nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open” (Luke 8:17 NIV). Human nature desires to be nosey when it comes to sensing that we have been done wrong but God’s Word teaches us that ALL OF IT will come to the light, not on our time but on God’s time. If you are one today who has been doing others wrong, please stop. Sooner or later what you are doing is going to surface to the light. We all make mistakes. Why not just confess to your wrongdoing, ask for forgiveness and do the necessary things to make it right? Why not allow God into your life to make it all right? There is no need of going through so much to cover your wrong because WHEN YOU ARE WRONG, YOU ARE WRONG. You may think no one sees you but God sees you. Be Blessed. – S.L.M.
