“What we see in the mirror is what we see in the world. Our disappointment in others perfectly reflects our disappointment in ourselves. Our acceptance of others perfectly reflects our acceptance of ourselves. Our ability to see potential in others perfectly reflects our ability to see potential in ourselves. Our patience with others perfectly reflects our patience with ourselves. You get the idea – you’ve got to show yourself some love first.” ~Marc and Angel Hack Life

Many of us are guilty of getting anxious from time to time trying to write our own stories in life. We want that job that God DOESN’T have for us. We want that mate that God DOESN’T have for us.  We want that car note or house note that God DOESN”T want us to have right now. Just because He doesn’t have that in the story of our life right now, DOESN’T mean that we will never get a happy ending; it means that God will give us the best if we wait. When we rush into things without His guidance, it normally ends in catastrophe. God knows what we need and when we need it. If things aren’t going right at that job, in that relationship or in your finances, perhaps God is telling you that it is time to LET GO and LET HIM. It may not look like we will end up on top but with faith, all things are possible.

When we turn the other cheek when we are attacked, our light shines.

When we respond in kindness to our enemies (read competitors), our light shines.

When we give erring employees another chance when the world wouldn’t, our light shines.

When we tell others that the most important thing in our lives is Jesus Christ and not success, and then live so they can see that it’s true, our light shines.

When we go the second mile when others wouldn’t, our light shines.

When we risk looking the fool for Christ where others dare not, our light shines.

When we wish genuine good to all men, with the greatest good being their salvation, our light shines.

When we would rather see men saved than to make a profit from them, our light shines.

When we keep our word in spite of the fact that it costs us dearly to do so, our light shines.

When we honor all men, even those of much lower place than God has called us to, our light shines.

When we don’t demand the privilege that our position affords us in the eyes of the world, our light shines.

When we take no advantage for ourselves even when we could, our light shines.

When we use our money to build people, rather than our people to build money, our light shines.

When we do just what Jesus would do in the same circumstances, our light shines, and He lives. Jesus is still The Light. He lives as we let him shine in our good works.

I am trying my best to live a life that is free from a lot of unpleasant things and people. I am doing my best in not letting things bring me down, not letting people bring me down and shaking things off that simply don’t matter. I am a daughter of the HIGHEST and I deserve the BEST regardless of what ANYONE says. I am doing my best in life not to take any more excuses from anyone that includes family and friends. I am doing my best to not stand around allow situations and people to “take” my goodness away from me. And I try to do my very, very best in trying not to be offended by what others say. But the other night, I was told to stop putting God in everything. WHAT? EXCUSE ME? I have made it this far because of GOD. What I have now is because of GOD. My kids’ and I possess good health because of GOD. I live because of GOD. HOW CAN I NOT PUT GOD IN EVERYTHING??? I will put GOD in everything I do and say. HE is my strength; not man. I will speak of Him every day because HE is the inspiration that keeps me going. He is the SMILE I wear. He helps to keep me focused. So yes! I will talk of HIM every day and say the exact same thing about HIM every day! If that is what it takes to keep me on the right path then so be it! I am not perfect nor will I ever be. I still make mistakes. I am simply a great work in progress. I have to keep myself saturated in any positivity I can find because sometimes, situations and people WILL TRY YOU TO THE FULLEST! When someone tells me to stop putting God in everything, that is a slap in the face! Just to keep it honest and real, it is because of GOD that they didn’t get slapped when they said it! But I will continue to remember who I am and keep my eyes fixated on GOD. I have expressed so many times that I am not 100% perfection but it is quite evident that a majority of people will never understand. The specks they have in their own eye is what they see when they look at you. Rather you do right or do wrong, the devil will always try to use people and situations to get to you. I choose to be on the right side where GOD is. When I do make mistakes or fall short, HE never leaves me alone. GOD stays right by my side and helps me to get back on track. Some people here on earth will leave you, mock you and slander your name. I am thankful there is GOD. As far as others, I will continue to pray for them as always and avoid in love. And to add the topping on this, I AM STILL GOING TO PUT GOD IN EVERYTHING I DO AND SAY.

“In everything you do, put God first, and He will direct you and crown your efforts with success.” – Proverbs 3:6

I can only imagine how uniquely trained athletes have to be to jump over a hurdle. I have seen them do it on television and it looks like it takes much strength, determination and focus. Those hurdles appear to be so high! The obstacles and difficulties in our lives are hurdles. We have to develop the strength, determination and focus to jump over them. The hurdles are not permanent; they are only temporary. This is how we gain strength – from learning how to get over things. Things can be obstacles….people can be obstacles…anything that is preventing us to get to where we need to be is an obstacle. In order to get where we need to be in life, where we need to be in God, and where we need to be for ourselves, we have to learn to jump over these hurdles. If your strength is not where it should be, I hear that God is an excellent TRAINER. Just call 1-800-SEEKHIM!!

Phillippians 4:13 “I can do everything through him who gives me strength.”

My mate had a conversation with me about “choices and options” that really detoured my way of thinking. I had brought something to his attention that I think really irritated him. At that moment, I honestly felt like God was speaking through him to me. I listened openheartedly. In that conversation, I came to understand that being miserable is a choice……being happy is a choice. I posted a quote on Facebook regarding situations in our lives. We have three choices regarding situations: Leave it, change it or accept it. Life is too short to be miserable. We have the ability to change many situations in our lives. I do know that there are just some things that can’t be changed but we can change our attitude towards it. Our attitude has a huge impact on the way we live life and on the way we look at life. Who wants to get up every morning miserable, having doubts and fears and just being drug down by all that is negative? Who really wants that? God certainly doesn’t want us to live life that way. This is why God wants us to look to Him ALWAYS and seek Him CONTINUOUSLY. God gives us hope and an abundant amount of happiness. I choose happiness. I choose to not let anything or anyone offend me. I choose to go to bed allowing happiness to sing me to sleep. I choose to be awakened by happiness staring me in the face. We shouldn’t be living lives that rob us of being happy or content. We must take an evaluation and weed out those things that cause us to be miserable. We have that choice. We have that option. What do you choose?

Psalm 90:14 “Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.”

When you reach the climax of things,
Your eyes open to a new and brighter light.
When you reach the climax of things,
Your denial state dies and will no longer fight.
When you reach the climax of things,
Your mind opens to reality and truth.
When you reach the climax of things,
You started embracing “YOU”.
When you reach the climax of things,
You see people for who they really are.
When you reach the climax of things,
You thank God for not letting you go too far.
When you reach the climax of things,
You begin to know things you didn’t know.
When you reach the climax of things,
You let what’s holding you back, go.
When you reach the climax of things,
Silence and wisdom becomes your talk.
When you reach the climax of things,
The strength of God is seen in your walk.
When you reach the climax of things,
You see that things can be enhanced.
When you reach the climax of things,
You decide to give that new life a chance.
When you reach the climax of things,
Certain lifestyles and people have to leave.
When you reach the climax of things,
Peace is something you start to breathe.
When you reach the climax of things,
It may seem like no earthly one cares.
But when you reach the climax of things,
You will find God waiting there.

Have you ever dealt with individuals who are “full of themselves”? Everything that they say or do is about THEM. They are constantly putting themselves ON TOP. These individuals find flaws in everything and everyone else around them. Little do they know, they are only showing what is going wrong with them. People like this have the tell-tale signs of being envious, being hurt or being displeased with themselves. They love attention from the world. They try to place themselves on a higher level thinking it will cover up the flaws in which they possess. Now placing yourself on a higher level is a good thing but when you place yourself on a higher level and bring your “crooked ways” with you – that is definitely not a good thing. During the process of these people picking flaws out in others, they fail to realize that the flaws that are picking out actually belong to them. Believe it or not, these people actually see the good in you and that is where the envy kicks in. They are actually snatching your “good” stuff and pouring it into themselves mixing it with their “bad” stuff. And they become so “full of themselves” until THEY don’t even know if they are going, coming, staying or leaving! Their bad stuff simply don’t mix well with your good stuff! These individuals are inconsistent. One day, they want to be friends and the next day you see them, they turn their heads. One day, they love you and then the next day, they act as though they hate you. One day, they lend the helping hand with a smile then the next day, they are ignoring your calls and texts. If we had to depend on CERTAIN PEOPLE in this world, I’m sorry, but we would all be in a near death situation. People who are full of themselves will suck you into their life of conceit and cause you to become frustrated. They will have you being happy one minute and the next minute, you will be like “Uhh, what just happened?” These people can’t see anyone but themselves. This is when you need to step back and see YOURSELF and your worth. Just give them silence mixed in with prayer. And of course, we have to place them in the hands of God. Full people are too much for anyone to handle especially if you are trying to stay on the straight and narrow path. These people will have you veering off of the road hitting trees and flipping over! So of course, they need to be handed over to someone who can handle them and that is THE LORD. Don’t allow those who are full of themselves to pick your flaws and beat you upside the head with them. Don’t allow them to make you feel “small” and beneath them. Don’t allow them to empty you of your goodness. As I said earlier, just hand them over to the Lord and pray that God will reveal who they are to THEM. Stay full of your good stuff.

Romans 12:3 For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.” (NLT)
