IN THE STILL PLACE (AWAY FROM IT ALL)

What can we say about drama? Those who allow it? Those who initiate it? It gets difficult to see or hear the truth when the crowd is so loud or so heavy until you can’t see. Kelly is knocking on your door, Sally is whispering in your ear, Becky is calling you on the phone and Jill is texting you. And none of what they are saying truly amounts to anything. It’s mostly drama or something that will cause your life chaos. They will say the things or show you the things that will cause you to act a fool! And then they will mock you if you react like a fool! It is times like these that you need to break away and go to a “still” place where GOD can talk to you. Whatever you need to know, HE can tell you. Whatever you need to do, HE will tell you. All of the answers to the questions that you have – GOD has the answer. If you and I were to listen to Kelly, Sally, Becky or Jill, we will end up on Distress Boulevard with no gas to go any further! God does, however, place people in our lives to help and encourage us. You will know these people because they don’t come with negativity or drama. These people actually go out of their way to help you and they NEVER leave your side. These are the people that are GOD sent and bring peace to our lives. But there are those times when we just have to get in that “still” place and just listen to God’s voice…THE ONE who will never lead us astray. Understanding is in the STILL PLACE. Acceptance is in the STILL PLACE. Love is in the STILL PLACE. GOD is in the STILL PLACE. (S.L.M.)

Psalm 37:7 “Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.”

  1. Thanks for the reminder that we are to be filled up with the things of God by God. Then in turn we can minister to the Kelly, Sally, Becky and Jill’s in our lives.
