LABELING OTHERS

We are sometimes better off reading the labels on PRODUCTS in the store rather than walking around “trying” to read labels on PEOPLE. If we try to read labels on PEOPLE, we may mistake their kindness for weakness, their hurt as a cry for attention, their boldness for arrogance and their love for manipulation. At least we can clearly read what’s on the labels in the stores! We don’t know what is really going in someone’s life and others may not know what is taking place in ours. How dare we label others when we are dealing with our own labels? When we try to label, we may make the mistake of labeling someone with a name that we actually wear ourselves. If we are not truly loving or supporting another individual, then it’s best that we stick to reading the labels in the store and repairing the flawed labels that we wear. BE ENCOURAGED. (S.L.M.)

Matthew 7:5 (NIV)“You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.”
