If you really want to know what kind of person or friend someone really is, step out of line with them. Don’t dance to the sound of their music. Be unavailable. Go against what they have dropped on the table. In this life, we have good people with great motives and character; then there are good people with motives and character. I don’t like to use the term “bad” people because the person is not bad; that person is God’s creation, like me. It is the ungodly spirits that are at work inside that person that is bad. When people turn against you or retaliate against you simply because you don’t do what they want you to do, just walk away and love them from a distance. Pray for them and still, love them from a distance. We must love everyone and if a person retaliates simply because you choose not to dance to the sound of their music, then perhaps that person should be placed in the hands of God. Walk away and love them from a distance. We cannot change the actions of an individual but we can change how we respond to their unkind ways. We can pray and ask God to change them. If i need drama, I can turn on the TV and find that on many channels; I don’t need it in my real life. People can label me with names of their choice but to avoid any time of drama or unkind tactics from an individual, I have learned that it is best to walk away. And in situations such as these, there is much PEACE in loving them from a distance. (Written by S.L.M.)

2 Timothy 2:22-25 (NIV) “Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. Don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. And the Lord’s servant must not quarrel; instead, he must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. Those who oppose him he must gently instruct, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth.” (NIV)
